A simple but effective design, created using a combination of knit and purl stitches. Using super chunky weight yarn, this cushion is simple to make, even for novices - and knits up super fast! Makes a great gift knit!


Sizes

To fit a 40cm (16") square inner pad, with tips for making a larger cover.


Yarn

Any super chunky weight yarn that knits to the stated gauge.

The sample was knit using Debbie Bliss Paloma (65m/71yds per 50g)


Quantity: 260metres/284yards approximately


Needles & Notions

  • Your preferred needles for knitting flat in size 10mm (the needle size is a suggestion. Always use correct needles to obtain stated gauge with the yarn you are using)
  • Large blunt sewing needle
  • 3 large buttons
  • Removable stitch markers
  • Cushion pad approx 40cm (16") square


Gauge

12sts and 18 rows over 10cm (4”) in stocking stitch using 10mm needles
