Sizes

Newborn (0-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12-36) months

Actual finished circumference: 30 (34, 39, 41, 43)cm/11¾ (13½, 15¼, 16, 17) inches

These sizes are the “unstretched” sizes – the hat will stretch to fit average size heads in the age range.

Yarn

Any sport weight/5 ply yarn thats knits to the stated gauge

I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino for my sample (125m/137yds per 50g)

Quantities: Less than 1 x 50g ball of each colour (2 contrasting shades)

Needles & Notions

Suggested needles: Size 3mm (US2-3), 3.25mm (US3) long circular needle for magic loop or DPNs

Large sewing needle

Stitch markers

Gauge: 25sts and 34rows over 10cm in stocking stitch
